Their eyes are dead, their lips are soft and moist, Almost inaudible their voice. In the cold lonely park, pacing the grass, Twin lonely spectres have evoked the past. "Dost thou recall our ecstasy of old?" "Why would you think I should recall?" "and at my name does thy heart pulse and grow? and in thy dreams seest thou my soul?" "No!" "Those lovely days of unheard bliss and free ... We fused our lips as one!" "Ah, that might be." "How blue the heavens and our hope how high!" Newly formed in 2022, the group is currently comprised of a Mixed choir, a men's choir, and a women's choir. The Mixed choir meets at the Manchester Rugby Club, and the men's and women's choirs meet at the Wilmslow Rugby Club. The repertoire consists of a little bit of everything - madrigals, movies, musicals, spirituals, shanties, serious songs, silly songs - everything. All singers are welcome, and there is no audition required. We sing as a team, one step at a time.  less

Every year Dziesmuvara takes part in international or national choral competitions. Since 2013 the choir has travelled to Poland, Lithuania, France and Czech Republic and all around Latvia. Dziesmuvara also participates in the Latvian Song Celebration festivals and occasionally teams up with fellow university and youth choirs to sing together in concerts. The more, the merrier!
