Over the years, the choir’s repertoire has included performances of: Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb, The Requiems of Brahms and Mozart, Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, and others. Auditions held every August and January.

This smallest and most select of the Hofstra choirs comprises the best singers at the University, both within and outside the Department of Music, and focuses on the distinct art of unaccompanied, or a cappella, ensemble singing, presented in carefully chosen performance spaces that are uniquely attuned to celebrate the human voice's potential.
From an educational standpoint, the ensemble serves two main functions for the University. First, it acts as a laboratory for Hofstra’s future music educators, both undergraduate and graduate, providing outlets for the exploration of the art of ensemble preparation through the study of the highest-quality choral literature. The choir’s performance is sometimes a cappella, while at other times accompanied by a jazz trio or piano. Sectional rehearsals are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays (11 to 11:50AM).
