Its dazzling imagery is reflected in Henderson's score, commissioned with financial assistance from the Diane Loomer Commissioning Fund for Elektra women's Choir and premiered at the Choir's 2009 Chez Nous: Christmas with Elektra concerts. All performances are from memory, delivering carefully-structured, semi-choreographed programmes. Repertoire encompasses jazz, show tunes and folk songs as well as opera and the classical repertoire. Members include fellows and alumnae of Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge, as well as singers drawn from the wider community.
