In mid-April, 2011, Ola spent 3 days on the Central Washington University Campus for a project in which he joined the choir in recording 3 of his compositions. On this video, Gjeilo adds an improvised accompaniment (in a one-take rendition) to his setting of the Ubi Caritas text -- which is published as an unaccompanied piece. Because of his view that improvising is a wonderful snapshot of artists "at that moment", the project was entitled "In the Moment".  less

Each musical season of „LELIUMAI“ is designated to performances of choir music to the listeners in cities and towns in Lithuania, extraordinary festivals and meetings with the choirs abroad, unforgetable participation in Lithuanian Song festivals. During its history „LELIUMAI“ has been awarded the highest titles in national choir competitions in Lithuania, has won the third prize at the international choir competition in Ireland (Cork) in 1983. This choir performs 20-30 times a year at various school, and community events. They placed 1st at the Alberta Provincial Music Festival in May 2012. They perform a variety of styles of music with an emphasis placed on A Cappella arrangements.

First and foremost, its name is closely associated with its first conductor Artūrs Bobkovics (1885-1959), who already then had become "the king of Latvian symphonic music". He organized the concerts of symphonic music and helped promote them. For the first time, the choir came together in the evening of October 18, when about 90 students gathered at Riga Secondary School No 2. The testing of voices was not very strict, and of the entire enthusiastic crowd only one student was rejected. Then, for a month, rehearsals were held, in which the voices of would-be singers were trained and made to keep in tune. After that another testing was held. This time the competition was much stricter, and only 40 singers were selected.
