We are Young voices choir of saint Anthony amaigbo

In our 'Me and All of You' concerts in March 2017, where the choir was largely accompanying solo instruments in a concerto, or where we were sharing the limelight with a virtuosic soloist, we chose to begin our concert as we would if we were an orchestra!

It focuses mainly on contemporary Icelandic music, commissioning at least one major work annually. Hljómeyki has represented Iceland in choral competitions and festivals, and has published 5 CD’s with Icelandic music. In recent years it has frequently collaborated with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. Other recent projects include Schnittke’s Concerto for choir and Rachmaninov’s Vespers. Hljómeyki’s conductor is Marta G. Halldórsdóttir.  less

Hailing from places as far afield as Truro and Coverack and ranging in age from thirty-something to eighty-something they unite once a week in Penryn to indulge and nurture their love of singing. The women of Mabe Ladies choir take their music making very seriously, constantly striving to achieve the highest artistic and technical standards. That said, they do spend an inordinate amount of time laughing! Whether it’s in the rehearsal room or the concert hall the emphasis is on fun & enjoyment, for choir and audience alike. Rule Number One of being a Mabe Lady is to have fun. There is no rule Number Two  less
