Composed of twenty young singers, the choir is involved in an innovative thinking artistic Project. The New Baroque Times Voices is characterized by the eclecticism of its artistic choices with a repertoire going from Renaissance to the most complex creations of contemporary music. Attached to The New Baroque Times ensemble, the choir charts its own course and trajectory remaining open and willing to work with other ensembles in Belgium and abroad.  less

The members of the Ensemble are all amateurs and have the same ideal that their performance can touch the heart of every audience through their well-trained voices. Their repertoires include folk songs, classical songs, musical pieces, pops, and premiere works by renowned composers. In March 2011, Plaisir Ensembe achieved a great success in the “1st Vietnam International Choir Festival and Competition” organized by the INTERKULTUR. They won the Gold Diploma, the Category Winner as well as the Overall Winner of Chamber Choirs. The Ensemble is one of the Top 50 Female Choirs in the Musica Mundi World Ranking List.  less

We will be presenting the bulk of our Projected album at our spring concerts on May 18th and 19th. Matthew Harris's highly popular choral works have been commissioned or premiered by leading choruses such as the Dale Warland Singers, Phoenix Bach Choir, Los Angeles Chamber Singers, Western Wind, and Cantori New York, and sung by countless school and community choirs across America. His A Child's Christmas in Wales, a cantata for chorus and orchestra commissioned by Harmonium, is performed throughout the US and the UK. Mr. Harris studied at The Juilliard School, New England Conservatory and Harvard University. he has taught at Fordham University and Kingsborough College (CUNY) and in 1988 founded Harris Musiciology. he lives and works in New York City.
