Composer Vijay Singh writes: “The Lord's Prayer was inspired by Oliver Messian's Choral masterpiece "O Sacrum Convivium", with its use of dense harmony, existentialism, hypnotic transcendental tonal treatment, and grateful piety.” The composer decided to use the universal "Lord's Prayer" text and various musical ideas to communicate the power and hope of this prayer.
