After what was thought to be the group's last concert, a push from student fans and current members led the group to seek registration as a bonafide student organization. Pittch Please now provides fraternal solidarity for its members, sentimental commemorations for its alumni, and musical excellence for the Pittsburgh community.

We put on two "shows" each ...  moreThis fun-loving group of women enjoys singing together, not just for the performance factor, but also for the pure joy of singing together. We hAVE about 25 members currently, but we are gaining new members each year. We put on two "shows" each year to raise funds that benefit the chorus as a whole. We also perform throughout the year at various venues - retirement communities, nursing homes, churches, banquets, and other events.

Our program has grown to 3 vocal jazz ensembles. The music we perform represents a crossover of the jazz and popular music idioms. The students in the KCKCC VJ program learn Jazz Education through a variety of methods. First of all, each of these students take private vocal jazz coachings weekly. They also perform music by professional vocal ensembles, arrangements by well-known vocal jazz educators, and learn jazz and popular music standards (both through the ensemble and in private coachings).  less
