It has also performed at Abbey Road Studios, the London O2 Arena and Hampton COurt Palace. Abroad, the choir has given concerts in the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris and the Pushkin Palace outside St Petersburg, at festivals in Aix-en-Provence, StrasbOurg, Aachen and Cork, and at other important venues in Russia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Holland, Iceland, France, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Italy and Latvia. the choir’s repertoire is broad, ranging from the great choral and orchestral works by Verdi, Brahms, Mozart, Handel and Bach to contemporary commissions. We do not belong to any particular geographical area or church denomination. In over 25 years, nearly 400 people from all backgrounds have sung with us - often for the first time in an English Cathedral. the number continues to grow year by year. Martin Hall, Our founder, became 'Director Emeritus' in Autumn 2006 and Matthew O' Donovan took over the post of Director in his stead. Because of the way we meet, we don't require formal auditions in advance, but new singers are expected to be excellent sight readers and to have a good choral tone.  less
