St. Edmundsbury male Voice choir was formed in 1988 and has grown to be one of the largest in East Anglia with over 100 members.

Established in 1911 we celebrate our centenary this year (2011).

But not all men’s choirs are like that and Bournemouth male Voice choir certainly isn’t. Not only is our music diverse – spanning everything from Palestrina and Poulenc to Take That and Queen – but the range of venues we sing in and the diversity of our members’ interests means that BMVC has something for everyone. The choir was founded in 1838 by Fredrik Pacius and...  moreThe Academic male Voice choir of Helsinki – Akademiska Sångföreningen or Akademen in Swedish – is a Fennoswedish (i.e. Swedish-speaking) male voice student choir based in the Finnish capital of Helsinki. The choir was founded in 1838 by Fredrik Pacius and is the oldest extant choir in Finland. At present, Akademen has around 60 active singers, most of whom are university students. However, quite a few choose to stay in the active choir long after graduation, which makes for a healthy mix of youth and experience. We give concerts regularly in Finland, and travel abroad as frequently as possible. In addition to all the Scandinavian and most European countries, Akademen has been on tour in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Singapore. We believe that ambitious musical development can go hand-in-hand with tradition, and work enthusiastically to keep alive the dialogue between past and present.  less

The Lon Dhoo male Voice choir was formed in 1937 and is the last remaining male Voice choir in the Isle of Man. Based in Douglas they peform all over the Island. They also love to host visit from brother choirs

The choir performs frequently both in Pontypridd and overseas, and has visited Poland, Ireland, the USA and...  moreCôr Meibion Pontypridd (Pontypridd male choir; the name means choir of the Sons of Pontypridd) was formed in 1949 for traditional Welsh singing. The choir performs frequently both in Pontypridd and overseas, and has visited Poland, Ireland, the USA and Germany. Links have been forged with Liederkranz Oberensingen, a German male choir from Pontypridd's twin town, Nürtingen. The choir also performs regularly at the National Eisteddfod of Wales and takes part in the HTV male choral competition. The choir is currently broadening and improving its repertoire to provide a wide-ranging concert program. The choir is a member of the National Association of choirs, the Welsh Association of male choirs and the Welsh Amateur Music Federation, and is a past winner of the HTV male Choral Competition and at the National Eisteddfod of Wales.  less

Our members are mainly from a...  moreThe Mayo male Voice choir has been in existence for twelve years, it has grown in strength this year from 26 to 42 members, and now has a wide and varied repertory featuring many favorites from light opera to popular musical. Our members are mainly from around the Castlebar area, but with five from Ballinrobe, more from Swinford, Kilkelly and Ballyglass we now truly represent our county. Under the musical direction of Deirdre Lee, from Kiltimagh, Deirdre has been our musical director since the choir’s inception, an honors music graduate of University College Maynooth, having studied under Professor Gerard Gillen. She has been involved in many musicals and events as musical director, arranged and conducted. Deirdre is a teacher of music, choir and orchestra in St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Castlebar. She has arranged many of the pieces we perform in four part for male voice. which were previously not available to us.  less
