This is our first virtual choir, created October-December 2020 on Dharug, Eora and Kuring-gai Land. After performing Ola Gjeilo's 'The Ground' in our final concert in 2019, we were preparing it again for our 'Indomitable Spirit' concert in May 2020. Then, Covid-19 arrived. Like many choirs, we kept going online, or outdoors when permitted. This film is a record of our year, made to remind ourselves that joy and connection are still available to us, despite distance and change.

Which fills the heavens and earth at his amazing birth
And you, oh glorious star, that with new splendor brings
From the remotest parts three learned eastern kings
Cease you blessed Angels, clamorous noise to make
Though midnight silence favors, shepherds are awake
And you, oh glorious star, that with new splendor brings
From the remotest parts three learned eastern kings
Gloria in excelsis deo...
Christmas is in glory, all torment past
What 'ere betide us now grant us the same at last
Through both Thy joyous Angels in strife and hurry fly
With glory and hosanna they cry."

"I also like to see the Angels on Mount Zion, with all the blessed people."
This is from The OK Chorale's second public concert in March 2013 at St. Mary's Church, Woodbridge, Suffolk, UK.

Sing Joyfully
Sing joyfully to
God our strength;
sing loud unto the
God of Jacob!
Take the song,
bring forth
the timbrel,
the pleasant harp,
and the viol.
Blow the trumpet
in the new moon,
even in the time
appointed,
and at our
feast day.

For this is a
statute for Israel,
and a law of the
God of Jacob.

The mighty Male Voice classics from the valleys of the Land of the Dragon.
Insane Georgian/Bulgarian repertoire to make the very stones weep
Vintage cheese from the Barbershop tradition (tempered with a small pinch of salt)
Also anthems concerning the wonders of facial hair, garden sheds, reversing round corners, etc....
Not so much a new idea as a distillation of every great 'man-singing' concept' that has ever graced this earth. Rolled into one. In Bristol. By the people who created 'Gurt Lush Choir'.
It will be BIG & fun. Virile & beautiful. Devilishly charming... ...You know you want to.... less
