the Choir comprises of students from various academic courses and generally only a few members study music. the Choir, an ensemble of approximately 80 – 100 voices, has won international acclaim through performances, concert tours, and participation in prestigious festivals and competitions.
the Choir is currently ranked 1st on the Interkultur World Ranking List for amateur choirs.

With a large repertoire ranging from art to popular music, and stretching from the medieval to the contemporary in style, this choir gives many concerts throughout the academic year, both in Ireland and abroad. Following a competitive selection process each September, eighteen gifted students are awarded a scholarship, with recipients of the award coming from a range of academic disciplines across the University, from Music to Medicine, Law, Agricultural Science, Commerce and Engineering.
the choir regularly broadcasts on Irish television and radio. While the majority of the singers are undergraduate music majors, membership is open to all students at the University through an audition process. the group has achieved an impressive reputation of excellence, having been chosen each of the last twenty years to perform at conventions or festivals around the country: the Pennsylvania Music Educators State Conference; the Eastern Division Music Educators National Conference; the Music Educators National Convention; the American Choral Directors Association Pennsylvania State Conference, and the ACDA Eastern Division Convention. the choir is renowned on the international stage as well, representing the US at competitions and festivals around the world. the singers are frequently praised for the emotional spectrum in their performances, their diverse vocal color, and their varied repertoire.
