They are also instrumentalists, actors, athletes, student leaders and ambassadors of LSHS. Most importantly, They are students who are DEDICATED to being The best They can be. As a result of These high standards, Sounds of Summit has developed a reputation in Lee’s Summit and around The nation as one of The elite high school level performing ensembles. The school's choir became very successful in The mid-1980s, winning many competitions including The Llangollen Eisteddfod. When school was over, it seemed natural to carry on singing togeTher as a choir, and The group's achievements included reaching The semi-finals of Sainsbury's Choir of The Year and appearing on Opportunity Knocks. In The 1990's, The choir moved to Harrow and officially became known as Jubilate. Sarah Stroh took over as Musical Director in 1999 and since Then The choir has grown significantly, doubling in size to its current membership of 43. There are still some original members of The choir, who have been singing togeTher for more than 25 years.
