The style of singing is more 'pop' than classical and the choice of music reflects this, with the repertoire including show-tunes, popular Songs from the 1930s to today, as well as classic barbershop arrangements. There are strong links to musical theatre in that most Songs are choreographed, and performing skills are a key element in making a song work. We rehearse every Tuesday, 6:30pm-9:00pm, in central London between Kings Cross and St Paul's. A "circle dance", this performance from December, 2010 is The Vocal Art Ensemble's interpretation of what it might have looked like when it was performed by the pilgrims who had come to visit the black virgin statue at the monestary.
