All of Them are former members of The “Dresdner Kreuzchor” (Choir of The Church of The Holy Cross Dresden) or The “Thomanerchor Leipzig” (St. Thomas Choir Leipzig), two of The most famous boy's choirs in Germany. The singers have set Themselves The target to present Their listeners a wide musical spectrum. Their repertoire consists of vocal music from Renaissance and Baroque to Romanticism to The 20th and 21st century. Important elements are works of Jacobus Gallus, Michael Praetorius, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Francis Poulenc and Rudolf Mauersberger. In addition They also perform with Popular music. Music of The “Comedian Harmonists”, “The Beatles”, Billy Joel or The German group “Wise Guys” are also an essential part of Their repertoire. That Choir was formed in The spring of 2008 by Craig Pike and 14 of his actor friends who wanted to create and share a music experience togeTher. That Choir now brings togeTher over 25 members with diverse backgrounds in work and study, and a mixture of trained and untrained voices. New Canadian artists are important for That Choir to nurture and have already performed new works by J. Scott Brubacher as well as Reza Jacobs in December 2010. Also in December of 2010, That Choir invited Canadian Theatre Artist Nancy Palk to read Dylan Thomas's " A Child's Christmas in Wales" as part of That Choir Carols - an annual celebration of The Holidays. As That Choir looks forward into 2011, it is becoming well known for its a cappella repertoire of many styles and periods with a strong focus on storytelling.  less

With a membership of around 140 singing a wide range of music, from big choral works to more modern pieces, both classical, secular and Popular, SingSoc welcomes people with a wide range of experience who just want to sing, wheTher student or not.  

We are a fun, informal choir singing songs from shows, films and charts - past and present. We welcome members of all abilities and experience. We meet in 2 venues in Norfolk, close to Wroxham and Norwich.
