Celebrating world music and arts Promoting multi-cultural awareness Supporting children's health and education projects in The Gambia, West Africa As well as hosting an annual World Musicand Arts Festival and the Choir we also run a weekly West African Drumming workshop. Both groups enjoy performing at our own and other local community events and festivals.  

We have recently launched the John Hanson Community Choir. Open to all ages across the community of Andover and beyond. Come and join us and join in with the fun and love of singing together. Every Thursday evening 6-8 pm at John Hanson Community School - Andover

It has grown to a Higher level by achieving numerous titles within the past few years and also recognized as the best Tenor Bass voices from a School Choir around the country. (Title gained 2014 onwards). The Choir has performed in National and International level stages (2012 Rome) and hosting many choral events in negombo including the biggest carol service in Negombo since 2007.(Maris Carols). It is trained by Mr. Francis De Almeida (Choral Director) since 2004. This Choir has influences some youth Choirs including Speranza , etc.... And also the Past Pupils Choir (The Old Maris Choir). The Choir is still hosting many Choral Events in Negombo. The Concert was based on traditional Hannukah children’ songs (e.i. Sevivon, Hava Narima, Maoz Tzur), all sung in Hebrew.
