The Stockton Chorale is an umbrella organization which hosts six Choirs. Three adult groups (auditioned and non-auditioned) and three Youth groups (auditioned). See our website for more information.

Amabile has almost 300 singers aged eight through adult, in eight Choirs — four for girls and women, and four for boys and men. Amabile has achieved acclaim on national and world stages for its excellence in choral performance, with 14 CBC National Choral Competition awards and 7 international competition awards.

With a large repertoire ranging from art to popular music, and stretching from the medieval to the contemporary in style, this Choir gives many concerts throughout the academic year, both in Ireland and abroad. Following a competitive selection process each September, eighteen gifted students are awarded a scholarship, with recipients of the award coming from a range of academic disciplines across the university, from Music to Medicine, Law, Agricultural Science, Commerce and Engineering. The Choir regularly broadcasts on Irish television and radio. Since its formation in 1999, the group frequently performs with orchestras, including the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, the Earley Musicke Ensemble and the European Union Chamber Orchestra, and on the university campus with the UCD Symphony Orchestra and Philharmonic Choir. The voices of young singers are celebrated and nurtured through a musicianship and vocal training program that includes reading and writing rhythms, interval recognition, diction, tone and vowel formation in a positive and fun choral setting. Serving ages 5–14, the program fosters the pride of accomplishment and joy of participation, producing the next generation of musicians, singers, and music lovers in the community.  less
