We sing popular Songs in at least three part harmony and add performance techniques to bring them to life. A weekly hour and a half rehearsal begins with a singing lesson and warm up that provides members with the vocal skills and techniques they need to sing amazing Songs from the world of pop, rock and musical theatre including Songs from Adele, Take That, Erasure and many more favourite artists. The lessons are led by our experienced choir leaders who are professional performers themselves and who are skilled at teaching singing and performance. Anyone can join! No experience necessary, there's no audition and members don't need to be able to read music - they don't even need to have a great voice - just a Love of singing! It was founded in 1998 in response to the success of the Choral Meeting of Alexandria Municipality and mainly because of the Alexandrians who Love the choral music and the encouragement of the Board Members of the Choir at the time. Like Melissanthi, Alexandrian Voices is, in the wider area of Alexandria, the music institution that target to the development of choral music, of course through the good company and the Love for music itself. From the beginning it counts approximately 50 choristers, all amateurs (meaning that none has studied music) who Love and sing almost all kinds of music. Since their beginning, Alexandrian Voices had the opportunity to participate and be distinguished in numerous events, competitions or not, musical or of special interest.
