In the past years, Chamber choir Orfej has received a number of awards, which places them among the more prominent Slovenian choirs. Orfej has proven its high level of vocal performance in April 2010 at the prestigious Slovene national choir competition ‘Naša Pesem’ (i. e. ‘Our Song’). The choir scored 93 points, received the gold award, and the second prize in the category ‘mixed choirs’.

Last year after winning the St John’s group choral Rosebowl, this choir won both the Provincial Music Festival and the National Music Festival of Canada. Their mission is to entertain, educate, unite and uplift their audiences and members through music that is distinguished for its innovation, diversity and artistic excellence. Their philanthropic mission is to provide funding and support for music education in our schools and the community. On September 10 of this year, Nashville Singers awarded their first Music Makes a Difference music education grant to John Overton High School. The Singers are all volunteers, range in age from teenagers to retirees and travel from five different counties throughout Middle Tennessee to be a part of the chorus.
