It offers a unique opportunity for singers to take part in cathedral services (notably the Cathedral's monthly Compline services) concerts in the cathedral (thrice yearly), other secular events such as livery company dinners and corporate celebrations.

The Choir, which has a membership of around 30 voices, was formed in 2007 by its Musical Director, Sheila Farmer. A Cappella is a touring Choir, having visited Prague and France, and hoping to make a tour to Spain in the near future. The Choir rehearses every other Saturday morning, between 10 a.m. and noon.

Comprising some of the fineSt young singers in the country, members of the Choir are all alumni of the Eton Choral Courses. Conducted by their founder Ralph Allwood, the sound of the Choir is a reflection of their profound sensitivity to text, blend and phrasing. This is the Choir’s 99th album to be released. Founded in the 1670s, the Choir is known for its diStinctive rich, warm sound, its expressive interpretations and its breadth of repertoire. Alongside these musical characteriStics, the Choir is particularly proud of its happy, relaxed and mutually supportive atmosphere. The Choir is directed by Andrew Nethsingha following a long line of eminent Directors of Music, recently Dr George GueSt, Dr ChriStopher Robinson and Dr David Hill.
