Through his diligent guidance, the group has impressed its audiences with the depth and range of its interpretive skills in performances of a capella early music repertoire. ESPRIT was awarded a first prize at the Peel Music Festival in April 2012, and is the proud recipient of the Hon. Barbara A. Hagerman Award for first place at the 2012 Ontario Provincial Music Festival. In August 2012, ESPRIT was awarded second place in the Canadian Nationals of the Federation of Canadian Music Festivals (Class 100 - Honourable Barbara A. Hagerman – Best performance by a community choral group 19 and up). As part of its mission the chorus seeks out performances in historical venues; in the summer of 2011, ESPRIT toured Montreal, Québec, performing at St-Joseph Oratory, Notre-Dame Basilica, Christ Church Cathedral and Marie-Reine-du-Monde Cathedral. Since 2009 and thanks to his founder, Oscar Allen, the Choral Project has been working with young singers and developing young voices to excell in the interpretation and enjoyment of choral music and group singing. Due to an intensive and hard work, its members receive a full choral and scenic education, structured in the Vocal individual technique and its different types of sound emission; on the development of corporal skills expression, and in the grupal practice of the choral exercise. This education is complemented by the permanent contact with other artistic disciplines as ballet and theatre are. Ha desarrollado, por tanto, una importante y extensa labor artística a lo largo de más de veinte años. Sus componentes, entre otras actividades de su amplio currículum musical, cuentan con la pertenencia al Coro Filarmónico de Europa, formación integrada por coralistas de todos los países de la Comunidad Europea.
