From its first steps it attracted attention to the musical community and it also achieved a significant success. Since 2000, the choir led by honored artist of Belarus Natalia Mihailova. Sacred music and jazz, classical and modern music organically and naturally coexist in the repertoire of the choir. The creative possibilities of the collective, consisting of 30 professional musicians, are inexhaustible. They constantly work on new programs of Russian works (D. Bortniansky, P. Tchaikovsky, S. Rachmaninov, G.Sviridov) and Western classics (I.S.Bach, G.Gendel, D.Bukstehude, W.A. Mozart). Then they prepared premieres of works by contemporary Belarusian composers as S.Kortes, V.Kopytko, A. Es el primer coro latinoamericano en adjudicarse el Gran Premio Europeo (Francia - 2009), máxima competencia coral a nivel mundial. The group was formed with some of Brisbane’s best and most experienced ensemble Singers, most of whom sing regularly with other choirs in and around the city and have extensive performing and touring experience both around Australia and internationally. The Singers range across an assortment of careers, from educators to environmental engineers, and from students to musicians. They are drawn together because of their passion for singing and produce an energy in performance that immediately connects with their audience. In programming, Fusion specialises in early and new music – from Jean Mouton and Juan Gutiérrez de Padilla to Cyrillus Kreek, Arvo Pärt, and Henryk Mikolaj Górecki. The ensemble prides itself on delivering an artistic product that combines choral maturity with youthful vibrancy to bring a fresh sound to music that is not often performed in the region.  less

We rehearse in Balfron Ch...  moreThe Strathendrick Singers is an amateur choir of some fifty Singers, which draws its members from the villages in the valley of the River Endrick. Members come from Balfron, Killearn, Drymen, Kippen, Aberfoyle and further afield. We rehearse in Balfron Church on Monday nights at 7.30. We are under the musical direction of Mark Evans, and perform publicly at both Christmas and Spring.
