Obida in October 2001. Members enjoy The opportunity to rehearse & perform under The professional tutelage of its choirmaster and resident arranger Novem G. Cabios. The choir has already competed in two World Choir Games, one in China in 2006 and The oTher in Austria in 208, where it won bronze & silver medals in The male chamber choir category. The group has traveled to Nancy, France on invitation, in one of France’s major choral festival, The 14th Festival International Chant de Choral held in May 2007. On tour in Europe, The choir performed to much acclaim in France, Belgium and Austria. Prime Note participated in The 2nd California Choral Festival & Competition in June 2009 in San Luis Obispo and continues to have a series of performances in and around SouThern California, which The group now calls home.  less

During it's 90 years it has flourished and built up an enviable record of success...  more The Cwmbach Choir was formed in 1921, and has survived to The present day even though it was severely tested by periods of hardship, depression and The Second World War. During it's 90 years it has flourished and built up an enviable record of success in competitions and concert performances. Its success in competition,particularly eisteddfodau, was established in its early days. The first taste of success was second prize at Treorchy in 1928, followed by Cardiff in 1938 and Ebbw Vale in 1958. The first prize was ultimately achieved at Port Talbot in 1966 and repeated in 1968 at Barry. During The 1950's when The Although in recent times The Choir has not been nearly as active in The competitive arena, it was successful in taking First prize in The Male Choir competition at The Limerick Festival of 1996 in Ireland. For four years in a row, we organize Festival oktetov Kranj (Festival of small vocal groups). We also preformed successfully abroad in Perast, Montenegro and Praga.
