Obida in October 2001. Members enjoy The opportunity to rehearse & perform under The professional tutelage of its choirmaster and resident arranger Novem G. Cabios.
The choir has already competed in two World Choir Games, one in China in 2006 and The oTher in Austria in 208, where it won bronze & silver medals in The male chamber choir category. The group has traveled to Nancy, France on invitation, in one of France’s major choral festival, The 14th Festival International Chant de Choral held in May 2007. On tour in Europe, The choir performed to much acclaim in France, Belgium and Austria.
Prime Note participated in The 2nd California Choral Festival & Competition in June 2009 in San Luis Obispo and continues to have a series of performances in and around SouThern California, which The group now calls home.

The namesake of The Victoria Scholars, Tomás Luis de Victoria, was an outstanding composer of The Renaissance period whose music is renowned for both its spirituality and emotional expressiveness. The essence of The Victoria Scholars’ music is an emphasis on The clarity and balance of sound so characteristic of Renaissance music. Their repertoire encompasses medieval plainchant, works from The Baroque, Classical and Romantic eras, contemporary and newly commissioned works.
Past winners of The Canada Council Healey Willan Grand Prize in The CBC Radio National Competition for Amateur Choirs, The Victoria Scholars have performed with many of Canada’s exceptional vocal soloists, and have toured both in eastern and western Canada. The Cwmbach Choir was formed in 1921, and has survived to The present day even though it was severely tested by periods of hardship, depression and The Second World War. During it's 90 years it has flourished and built up an enviable record of success in competitions and concert performances.
Its success in competition,particularly eisteddfodau, was established in its early days. The first taste of success was second prize at Treorchy in 1928, followed by Cardiff in 1938 and Ebbw Vale in 1958. The first prize was ultimately achieved at Port Talbot in 1966 and repeated in 1968 at Barry.
During The 1950's when The Although in recent times The Choir has not been nearly as active in The competitive arena, it was successful in taking First prize in The Male Choir competition at The Limerick Festival of 1996 in Ireland. Alongside These musical characteristics, The Choir is particularly proud of its happy, relaxed and mutually supportive atmosphere. For four years in a row, we organize Festival oktetov Kranj (Festival of small vocal groups). We also preformed successfully abroad in Perast, Montenegro and Praga.
