The International Singers hold a unique status amongst choirs in France by means of our repertoire and composition. Bringing together very nearly 40 mixed voice singers all sharing the same passion, they hail from countries from around the world and representative of 4 continents. The repertoire consists principally of contemporary music with anglo-saxon origins and from the very best of musical theatre as seen in London's West End or on Broadway in New York. The International Singers are beginning to wow the people of Lille and the surrounding areas of Northern France with Concerts in public venues as well as at private functions organised by civic bodies as well as associations etc. Musical Objectives The International Singers is a choir structured around anglo-saxon values and traditions. Handel, Gloria, by Vivaldi, the Durufle Requiem, the Pope Marcellus Mass by Palestrina, Magnificat by J.S. Bach and Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna. During the summer, Cantate presents the Pacific Summer Music Festival which hosts guest musicians such as the nation’s most beloved Choral conductor, Dr. Weston Noble, Concert pianists, Itay Goren and Frank Pavese and the Grammy-nominated string ensemble, Quartet San Francisco. New members are welcome and encouraged to attend three rehearsals before an informal voice appraisal.

This whole competition took place at George Fox University in Newburg Oregon. The South Salem Saxons also took first at their Districts festival in Salem/Keizer Oregon.
