Over The past 12 years, we have trained five generations of young performers from across The School as part of our extra-curricular music programme. Specialising in acappella African vocals, our performances are enhanced with dynamic percussion and traditional dance. Many arrangements are created by The group's Musical Director, Mr Steve Cook, and by The students Themselves. Our repertoire includes a range of traditional and contemporary African songs in a variety of languages. Over The years, this outstanding group has developed a reputation for thrilling, breathtaking and energetic performances at School Concerts and furTher afield. Η επιλογή των μελών της Χορωδίας γίνεται ύστερα από ακροάσεις και οι χορωδοί της εκπαιδεύονται, αφενός στην ανάγνωση και ερμηνεία μουσικών έργων και αφετέρου στην φωνητική διαπαιδαγώγηση. Στόχος της Χορωδίας του ΣΦΜΘ είναι η πραγματοποίηση συναυλιών, τόσο σε συνεργασία με το Μέγαρο Μουσικής, όσο και με άλλους πολιτιστικούς φορείς στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό (σε εκδηλώσεις όπως κοντσέρτα, όπερα, χορωδιακά φεστιβάλ). There are no auditions and The standard of music that we produce is consistently high. We are regularly supported by high quality professional soloists and orchestras with The result that we produce highly enjoyable and satisfying Concerts for audience and singers alike. We believe that anyone who enjoys singing should be able to experience The fun of making music with oTher people. All we ask is enthusiasm and a willingness to join in!
