The group is one of Madagascar’s top Choirs and aims for Musical excellence and artistic innovation. Various performances have been given since its debut in major places around the country. ICanto’s repertoire is eighty percent a capella and the Choir interpretes all genres of Classical Music, from ancient to modern as well as rearranged traditional Malagasy Music. The Choir is conducted by Fitah Rasendrahasina.

Solomons and Text by Thomas Clarke. This setting for Christmas represents the cold of a Northern winter (the cruel wind blows) although of course the actual events took place in rather warmer climes. It also reflects much of the liturgical and popular symbolism of the Christmas season: robins, holly etc and it brings our thoughts towards the season of Easter with the blood of Good Friday.

Die aktuell mehr als 50 chorerfahrenen Amateursängerinnen und -sänger vom „SonntagsChor Rheinland-Pfalz“ wurden seinerzeit aus über 600 Bewerbern, in mehreren Durchläufen, nach festgelegten Kriterien ausgewählt.
