Since its foundation in 2007, The Bremen based ensemble has been putting its own spin on The world of music, with interpretations that continue to surprise Their audiences. Six male solists present The deep yet humorous side of vocal music. Their clarity in sound and expression, The abillity to let music speak for itself, sets Them apart. Their individual artistic skills and personalities harmonize into a one of a kind ensemble! Pro Vocants musical interpretation has been well received all over, earning Them a third placing at The German A cappella Contest 2012! De Heeren consists of 8 men, most of whom study at The Fontys Conservatoire in Tilburg. What sets this group apart is that is has musical as well as classical trained singers. Due to this wide variety of musical diversity of this group it allows for a broad selection of repertoire. The choristers met each oTher during Their nine-year education in fine arts as members of The St. Thomas Boys Choir Leipzig. Today The ensemble consists of tenors Christian Pohlers and Paul Heller as well as basses Felix Hübner, Lucas Heller and Lukas Lomtscher. Their repertoire ranges from late medieval mass songs to modern age works. The five young musicians attach great importance to The works of German Romantic composers, such as Schubert, Schumann and Mendelssohn Bartholdy, as well as to Their extensive repertoire of church music. The ensemble successfully collaborates with a number of oTher artists, such as The composer Manfred Schlenker(GER), who dedicated his motet Gott wohnt in einem Lichte to The quintet, on a regular basis.
