Herter, with assistance from Ryszard Gieros and Alfred Stefankiewicz. Almost from the very beginning, it has been afliated with St. John’s Archcathedral in Warsaw, initially as a boys’ choir. It has performed with many Polish and foreign symphony orchestras. Foreign tours have taken the choir to over twenty countries. It has won numerous awards at international choral competitions, including those in Lecco, Italy (1997), Moscow (2000), Prague (2002, 2003, 2004, 2017), Międzyzdroje, Poland (2004), Warsaw (2013, 2015, 2016), Grójec, Kraków and Łomża (2017). It has also taken part in several television and theatre productions. Cantores Minores is a co-founder of the Polish Section of the International Federation of Pueri Cantores. The choir’s directors have traditionally been exclusively women — talented choirmasters who represented the classical Russian choral school. We have been invited by Ely Cathedral in Cambridgeshire, UK, to sing as "choir in residence" for a week in July 2014, taking over their choir's duties of singing 8 services that week. We are the only Hawai'i choir to belong to the Royal School of Church Music, and we use their adjudication standards to award medals which are internationally recognized by the RSCM. We sing sacred music in English, Latin, and Hawaiian. We are always looking for new choristers. Auditions are year-around, although placement occurs only in fall semester and spring semester. The choir performs frequently both in Pontypridd and overseas, and has visited Poland, Ireland, the USA and Germany. Links have been forged with Liederkranz Oberensingen, a German male choir from Pontypridd's twin town, Nürtingen. The choir also performs regularly at the National Eisteddfod of Wales and takes part in the HTV male choral competition. The choir is currently broadening and improving its repertoire to provide a wide-ranging concert program. The choir is a member of the National Association of Choirs, the Welsh Association of Male Choirs and the Welsh Amateur Music Federation, and is a past winner of the HTV Male Choral Competition and at the National Eisteddfod of Wales.  less
