Building upon the inspiration from such groups as Rajaton, The King’s Singers, and The Real Group, Six has charted a unique path, combining choral, pop, world, and folk influences, surprising audiences everywhere with the versatility and blend of their voices. To categorize their genre is difficult; to experience their music is indescribable. The members of Six come from entirely different musical backgrounds. In its inception, Six came together as a group of opera and rock singers, jazz artists and choral traditionalists. Comprised of professionally trained musicians, Innismara is dedicated to the performance of the intimate and hidden treasures of the vocal ensemble repertoire. Innismara made its debut in the summer of 2010 at Muses and Minstrels: A Festival of Early Performing Arts held in conjunction with the Cupids 400 celebrations. In collaboration with the Hot Earth Ensemble, Innismara performed music from the late Renaissance and early Baroque, highlights of which were recorded for national broadcast on CBC Radio. The success of these performances led to an invitation to participate in a series of workshops and performances in the Labrador Inuit communities of Nunatsiavut in the spring of 2011. Concerts by the group feature a cappella music of Scandinavia and the Baltics, as well as North-American composers. Music by composers such as Mäntyjärvi, Daniel-Lesur, Rautavaara, Martin and Pärt are ideal showcases for the choir’s lush and full sound. Members of the group are dedicated to excellence in rehearsing and performing. With a repertoire consisting of 8 to 16-part music, the twenty singers are mostly performing as soloists. Now in its fifth season, voces boreales has already performed in a number of prestigious concert series, such as the National Arts Centre eXpres- sion series, Musique Chez Nous at Bishop's University, Mondial Choral Laval and the Montreal International Bach-Academy. That Choir was formed in the spring of 2008 by Craig Pike and 14 of his actor friends who wanted to create and share a music experience together. That Choir now brings together over 25 members with diverse backgrounds in work and study, and a mixture of trained and untrained voices. New Canadian artists are important for That Choir to nurture and have already performed new works by J. Scott Brubacher as well as Reza Jacobs in December 2010. Also in December of 2010, That Choir invited Canadian Theatre Artist Nancy Palk to read Dylan Thomas's " A Child's Christmas in Wales" as part of That Choir Carols - an annual celebration of the Holidays. As That Choir looks forward into 2011, it is becoming well known for its a cappella repertoire of many styles and periods with a strong focus on storytelling.  less

TBC organizes and participates in “Messiah for the City” and in many local community events. TBC’s “Choral Scholars Program offers subsidy and training to singers aged 19 to 24.
