This auditioned SATB choir has a long history of performing high quality choral music at various events including school concerts, community events, and National conferences and festivals. Last year after winning The St John’s group choral Rosebowl, this choir won both The Provincial Music Festival and The National Music Festival of Canada. The choir has been featured on local television and radio programs and even performed live in concert International Children performing icons- The Wiggles. The Wiggles Performance garnered national attention with news articles in all major outlets across The country. Open to beginners or those wishing to improve Their technique with industry professionals from The UK. Over 12 weeks students will follow a curriculum tailored to helping each student develop at Their own speed in all three areas of The artform. In Singing students will leave voice techniques, explore ensemble singing and perform a variety of repertoire. In acting students will learn how to develop character in scenes and songs, explore The physical journey of a character, improve stage presence and text analysis. In dance students will look at a variety of jazz techniques core to Musical Theatre dance as well as perform several Musical Theatre routines. It's of course a wink to my favorite Musical movie - I must have watched it at least a dozen times. It keeps inspiring my love for singing. We mostly sing Musical songs, but not exclusively. We are dedicated to making this a great amateur choir. But, as Mary Poppins sang: 'In every job that must be done / There is an element of fun / You find The fun / and SNAP The job's a game'
