Our purpose is to sing for enjoyment & to share this with the community. We are a non-audition Choir, all we ask of those wishing to join us is that they can sing in tune.

Photographs were taken of the group performing at the National Trust's Stourhead Gardens, during their Festival of the Voice in 2009 and 2011. The music is taken from La Nova Singers' first CD, 'DEBUT'; it was recorded live in concert at St Mary's Church, Dorchester in 2009. Our programme varies from stunning ma...  moreHart Voices is a mixed Voice Choir based in Fleet, Hampshire which achieves a high-standard of singing from a non-auditioned Choir. We perform four concerts each year across three terms running from September to July. Our programme varies from stunning major choral works to satisfying chamber music programmes and the occasional light programme of popular numbers! Singers are drawn not only from Fleet and the surrounding area, but also outlying towns including Guildford and Basingstoke. Choir membership is currently around 50 Voices, many of whom have sung with the Choir for several years. The combined experience and enthusiasm enables us to explore new musical horizons - both in repertoire and venue. We aim to broaden our experience, strive for quality and musicality in our performances and involve young singers wherever possible. Sung by the Fulham Children's Choir, Musical director: Christopher Wray, Piano: Marcus andrews and Charles Economou Songs and Cries of London Town by Bob Chilcott and varied choral cantata in five movements for STAB Choir, upper-Voice Choir, piano duet, ...  moreSung by the Fulham Children's Choir, Musical director: Christopher Wray, Piano: Marcus andrews and Charles Economou Songs and Cries of London Town by Bob Chilcott and varied choral cantata in five movements for STAB Choir, upper-Voice Choir, piano duet, and optional percussion. The two outer movements draw their words and inspiration from boisterous cries of 17th century market vendors as once featured in 'The Cries of London' by Orlando Gibbbons. The second movement features the words of a Scottish poet, William Dunbar (c. 1460-c.1520), in which he praises the English capital, and includes the line 'London, thou art the flower of cities all'. Together, these settings evoke a surprisingly contemporary impression of London's sights, sounds, and moods, inspiring some irresistible music, by turns contemplative and unquenchably thrilling. This 'capital' cantata was written in 2001 for the Diamond Jubilee of the Barnet Choral Society, of which Chilcott is President.  less

Concerts are held in Ely Cathedral and other venues locally with professional soloists and orchestras, together with musicians from the Ely and Cambridge area. The Ely Youth Choir for 13 to 18 year olds was launched with great success in 2010 and is aimed at teenagers who want to experience the fun and excitement of choral singing to public audiences.  less
