Originating from a Leicestershire yout...  moreThe Chanterelles performing My Love Dwelt in a Northern Land by Edward Elgar at the 2012 Llangollen International Eisteddfod. Conducted by Dr Shirley Court. The Chanterelles is a ladies Choir from all over the UK. Originating from a Leicestershire youth Choir and reforming as an adult Choir in February 2009, members now come together to perform about five times each year. Having tasted success as a Youth Choir in Llangollen in 1998, the Choir returned in their new guise as a Female Choir In July 2010, winning their section and taking their place in the Choir of the World competition. This success was followed by concerts in Macclesfield and Birmingham and a win at the North Wales Choral Festival in November 2011. In 2012, the Choir competed in the Fleischmann International Trophy Competition at the Cork Choral Festival and won 2nd prize in this year's International Eisteddfod in Llangollen. Kornelsen, the Denver Pro Chorale is comprised of thirty-six musicians based in the Denver Metropolitan area. The Denver Pro Chorale specializes in singing diverse a cappella choral repertoire including contemporary works from around the world. The Denver Pro Chorale recently concluded its second season with its first independent concert to a sold out audience at Denver’s Church of the Ascension. Earlier this year, the Denver Pro Chorale was invited to sing at the Colorado Music Educator’s Association convention in Colorado Springs. Moving into its third season, the Denver Pro Chorale is looking forward to collaborating with the Metropolitan State University and St. Martin’s Chamber Choir in joint concerts in addition to a Christmas concert and a concert at Denver’s Church of the Ascension in the spring of 2015.
