"Love is Like a healing dew washing away all hurt". From Lila Flood, arranged by Nickomo. This concert was the culmination of a six-week project which creates a choir from scratch for one night only. Each winter and summer, Chris Rowbury gathers a random bunch of singers from in and around Ipswich. There are no auditions and all songs are taught and learnt by ear. We raise the profile of recovery and reduce stigma through Singing. We are available to sing at events, conferences, seasonal and any other times. We average 18 members and meet weekly.

In 2012, the birth of the Priamo Gallisay Cultural Association completes the cultural path desired by the founders. The Corale has about 30 members among its ranks.

We welcom...  moreThe J Singers combine Singing ‘seriously for pleasure’ with performing charity fund-raising concerts throughout the county of Somerset. We sing a varied mix of music from traditional ballads and songs from the West End shows, to popular numbers. We welcome new adult members with or without prior choral experience. You do need some musical ability, but it's not essential to read music. Rehearsals are in Wembdon, near Bridgwater, on a Tuesday evening.

The group's first piece—William Byrd’s “This sweet and merry month of May”, whose ending celebrated Queen Elizabeth I with the words And greet Eliza with a rhyme: O beauteous Queen of Second Troy, Take well in worth a simple toy. provided a great name for the group. Eliza’s Toyes was born, and existed every summer in Madison, Wisconsin. In 2008, a fair number of singers who were in Eliza's Toyes are living in Madison once again. Thus we gather, outside of the Festival, for the joy of music making. It is our pleasure to continue sharing this wonderful body of music with you for the second year!  less

Singing mostly Israeli songs, Members of the choir are from various professions: Doctors, Lawyers, Engeeners, Social workers, Scientists, teachers.artists, The thing we have in common is our love of Singing together , the challenge of improving our skills by studying and practicing in order to get an impressive final result. Our musical director and conductor is one of the best most appreciated musicians in Israel ,he has a lot of experience and all our repertoire consists of his very special arrangements. Our repertoire consists of various musical styles : Israeli folk classics, Translated international songs by the Beatles and others, Gospels, A Cappella pieces. The choir participated in Radio and T.V shows , and in choir competitions, and is highly regarded as one of the best amateur choirs in Israel.  less
