Concerts by The group feature a cappella music of Scandinavia and The Baltics, as well as North-American composers. Music by composers such as Mäntyjärvi, Daniel-Lesur, Rautavaara, Martin and Pärt are ideal showcases for The choir’s lush and full sound. Members of The group are dedicated to excellence in rehearsing and performing. With a repertoire consisting of 8 to 16-part music, The twenty singers are mostly performing as soloists. Now in its fifth season, voces boreales has already performed in a number of prestigious concert series, such as The National Arts Centre eXpres- sion series, Musique Chez Nous at Bishop's University, Mondial Choral Laval and The Montreal International Bach-Academy. Likewise, They begin to know The art and culture world by The music, not only polyphonie music, but also popular and modern music. The choice of program it’s free without limit of The instruments that may accompany The choir ensemble. The duration of performance shall not exceed 20 minutes per performance. The choir ensembles may have tree performances during The Festival. In 2005 The ensemble won The audience award as well as The special award of The jury of The Swiss Choir Competition in Glarus, while in 2007 it was awarded The 1st place at The Valiant Forum for Young Orchestras and Choirs at The Murten Classic Summer Festival. In addition, molto cantabile has taken part in several renowned international choir competitions where it has proved to belong to The leaders of The international choir scene. In May 2004 The ensemble took part in The European Music Festival in Neerpelt, Belgium, where it was awarded 1st prize summa cum laude with 99/100 points.
