We pride ourselves on our friendly atmosphere and the quality of our singing. We are let by Will Welsford who gives his considerable experience to help us find our best voices. We sing everything from madrigals to musicals, folk to funk and have a great time doing it! Always open to new members, particularly sopranos at the moment!

We Rise Again is by Leon Dubinsky, who grew up in Sydney and now lives with his wife and children on a seaside property in Cape Breton's Englishtown. Written in 1984 as a hopeful tune for the musical The Rise and Follies of Cape Breton Island during a severe economic downturn, it begins: When the waves roll on over the waters And the ocean cries We look to our sons and daughters To explain our lives As if a child could tell us why That as sure as the sunrise As sure as the sea As sure as the wind in the trees We rise again in the faces of our children We rise again in the waves out on the ocean And we rise again.... The day he wrote "Rise Again," Dubinsky recalls, he was watching his ailing father observing his grandchildren playing in a swimming pool. The ...  moreThe CSI East Parade Malayalam Church choir (aka The EM choir), and based out of Bangalore, India, is a strong team of over 50 musicians who have dedicated their voices to the Glory of God. The choir is an integral part of the Sunday worship service. The soulful reckoning that they are singing for their Lord and Saviour is what drives the choir in spite of the hectic schedules of its members. The choir has a good mix of youth and experienced members ranging from an age of 14 years and above. Yeah, we don’t have an age limit! The East Parade Malayalam choir is recognized as one of the best church choirs in the Garden city and has been invited to perform in various concerts organised by other churches, institutions and groups. The mission of the Madison Youth choirs is to create a community of young musicians dedicated to musical excellence through which we inspire enjoyment, enhance education, and nurture personal, musical, and social development by the study and performance ...  moreThe mission of the Madison Youth choirs is to create a community of young musicians dedicated to musical excellence through which we inspire enjoyment, enhance education, and nurture personal, musical, and social development by the study and performance of high-quality and diverse choral literature. MYC brings together a membership of almost 400 families and offers youth between the ages of seven and 18 the opportunity to participate in eleven separate choral groups. Focused on drawing connections between music and the greater world, the program offers choristers musical and social education opportunities through weekly rehearsals, annual concerts, and music retreats. The curriculum, focused on thematic musical study, is presented in an environment of sharing, growth, and recreation, allowing MYC to teach discipline, build self-confidence, foster teamwork, and provide constructive activity and positive role models during formative years.  less
