The group was set up to perform exciting vocal material at a variety of events, and to give men and women who love singing, The platform to get involved in a fun and sociable musical experience. The Voice Of The Town family has now grown and not only do we have our choirs in Newcastle and Birmingham, but we also have choirs in Edinburgh and Glasgow.  

The women of The Vocal Art Ensemble perform Ro Agura's "Hotaru Koi" (Ho, Firefly) as part of Their May 2011 concert "Cloudburst--Sounds of Nature". To set The mood, The men behind The women are providing 'firefly' effects using laser keychains.

During The choir’s existence, it has taken part in many musical festivals, and proven its quality by winning many first prizes, and has been joined in concert by world renowned soloists and choirs from Britain and America. Every year, The choir perform around twenty concerts throughout Cumbria, raising thousands of pounds for charitable organisations and oTher worthy causes. The services of The choir are provided entirely free of charge to The organisations They perform for. Outside The county They have performed in such notable venues as The Royal Albert Hall, London; on three occasions, Cardiff Arms Park; twice, Sheffield Arena and in Edinburgh. We are a ladies' a cappella Chorus who sing in barbershop style. We are based in Aberdeenshire, in north-east Scotland. As well as Scottish favourites, our repertoire includes traditional barbershop as well as recent pop and rock tunes.
