We are a volunteer, non-auditioned group open to all, but choir members are expected to regularly attend rehearsals and the semester retreat, and to practice their parts on their own time. We usually put up practice files under “Resources” (members-only access) so that you can download your part and listen to it on whatever portable Music-playing device you own. No Musical experience is needed, but the ability to read Music is an asset (if you can't read Music, we'll help you learn).  less

For the first time, the choir came together in the evening of October 18, when about 90 students gathered at Riga Secondary School No 2. the testing of voices was not very strict, and of the entire enthusiastic crowd only one student was rejected. then, for a month, rehearsals were held, in which the voices of would-be singers were trained and made to keep in tune. After that another testing was held. This time the competition was much stricter, and only 40 singers were selected. Music by composers such as Mäntyjärvi, Daniel-Lesur, Rautavaara, Martin and Pärt are ideal showcases for the choir’s lush and full sound.
