Today,...  morePaduan Suara Magnificum Et Bonum (Magnificum Et Bonum Choir) is a mixed youth Choir which is based in Medan, Northern Sumatra, Indonesia. Established in 2003, this group was initiated by some Economics department students of Medan State University. Today, the members come from the very university and are not limited only for those who are studying in Medan State University, meaning everyone is welcomed to join the group.  

Our beginnings lie at Kingsbury High School in Brent. The School's Choir became very successful in the mid-1980s, winning many competitions including the Llangollen Eisteddfod. The School's Choir became very successful in the mid-1980s, winning many competitions including the Llangollen Eisteddfod. When School was over, it seemed natural to carry on singing together as a Choir, and the group's achievements included reaching the semi-finals of Sainsbury's Choir of the Year and appearing on Opportunity Knocks. In the 1990's, the Choir moved to Harrow and officially became known as Jubilate. Sarah Stroh took over as Musical Director in 1999 and since then the Choir has grown significantly, doubling in size to its current membership of 43. There are still some original members of the Choir, who have been singing together for more than 25 years. Our recent competition successes include winning the Barnardo's National Choir competition in March 2013 and the ladies Choir, folk and popular music classes and runner-up with distinction in the sacred music class in the 2012 Mid-Somerset Festival. Over the past 12 years, we have trained five generations of young performers from across the School as part of our extra-curricular music programme. Specialising in acappella African vocals, our performances are enhanced with dynamic percussion and traditional dance.
