It was Mr. Bonnie Fonseka, a distinguished Old Boy, who's vision soon came to be a Benedictine tradition, by forming a musical club. This prompted The birth of The first College Choir. The Choir acquired a reputation for top class singing and in addition often invited to perform at important national events such as to perform with oTher schools when princess Elizabeth visited Ceylon in 1952.
Since Mr. Bonnie Fonseka’s retirement There were many dedicated young musicians who undertook The responsibility and uphill task of training The Choir. Some of Them were Mr. Robert Joseph, Mr. Francis De Almeida, Mr. Nicholas Johnpulle, Rev Bro. Augustine and Mr. Ravein George.

It has grown to a higher level by achieving numerous titles within The past few years and also recognized as The best Tenor Bass voices from a school Choir around The country. (Title gained 2014 onwards). The Choir has performed in National and International level stages (2012 Rome) and hosting many choral events in negombo including The biggest carol service in Negombo since 2007.(Maris Carols). It is trained by Mr. Francis De Almeida (Choral Director) since 2004. This Choir has influences some youth Choirs including Speranza , etc.... And also The Past Pupils Choir (The Old Maris Choir). The Choir is still hosting many Choral Events in Negombo.

During a Saturday night in June The first open-air Concert took place on one of The most beautiful university campuses in Europe. The event had a picnic character and took place on June 16 in The evening in The courtyard with fountains in front of The Main Building of The Gdańsk University of Technology. The program includes works by Georg Friedrich Handel performed by The Baroque orchestra and academic Choirs from Gdańsk and Kraków, as well as a fireworks show.
The Concert repertoire includes pieces by George Frideric Handel, such as The coronation anThem "Zadok The Priest" and "My Heart is Inditing", "Water Music" and "Music for The Royal Fireworks" were performed. The music scene was set on The stairs in front of The Main Building. The musical side of The evening was made more attractive by The fireworks show, which accompanied The performance of The last part of "Music for The Royal Fireworks". less
