MUSYCA's performance at the 2014 Neckelodeon Kids Choice Awards has been seen in more than 375 million households worldwide, in more than 25 languages. Season's highlights include community concerts, domestic and international performance tours, collaborations with artists and arts organizations, and recording. MUSYCA singers collaborated with composers Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard, recording artists DJ Mustard, Alexander Palmer, Sia Furler and Luke Christopher. MUSYCA singers starred in "Black Friday Orphans: The Musical" produced by Funny or Die.  less

We are a mixed choir, putting on 3 concerts per year; a Spring concert with a wide and varied mixture of music, an orchestral concert in the Autumn, and a charity Christmas concert. We can also be seen throughout the year taking part in various community events; singing at the local Christmas grotto, taking part in flash mobs and singing at weddings and funerals.  less

The aim of these festivals are to motivate and inspire these choirs in order to achieve true development and innovation for our youth. We perform at annual shows, community events and competitions, and several members are also in quartets. TuneTown Show Chorus puts a contemporary spin on traditional barbershop singing and has won four Sweet Adelines regional chorus competitions to go on to represent a multi-state region in international contests.

The choir sings an eclectic mix of pop classics, show songs, spirituals and contemporary pieces. We love what we do and we also love to use our singing to contribute to the community of Southend by performing regularly within the town and by raising money for local charities. We have represented Southend further afield with performances at Dublin's Guinness Storehouse and Union Chapel, London.

We sing a-cappella style music in four-part harmony, called Barbershop. The songs we sing are varied, some old classics, some modern with a twist! In an effort to stay committed to singing and performing at the highest possible level, we compete each year in a national contest and we also perform our own annual Show to raise our profile in the community.
