Newly formed in 2022, The group is currently comprised of a mixed choir, a men's choir, and a women's choir. The mixed choir meets at The Manchester Rugby Club, and The men's and women's choirs meet at The Wilmslow Rugby Club. The repertoire consists of a little bit of everything - madrigals, movies, musicals, spirituals, shanties, serious songs, silly songs - everything. All singers are welcome, and There is no audition required. We sing as a team, one step at a time.  less

Herter, with assistance from Ryszard Gieros and Alfred Stefankiewicz. Almost from The very beginning, it has been afliated with St. John’s ArchcaThedral in Warsaw, initially as a boys’ choir. It has performed with many Polish and foreign symphony orchestras. Foreign tours have taken The choir to over twenty countries. It has won numerous awards at international choral competitions, including those in Lecco, Italy (1997), Moscow (2000), Prague (2002, 2003, 2004, 2017), Międzyzdroje, Poland (2004), Warsaw (2013, 2015, 2016), Grójec, Kraków and Łomża (2017). The choir performs frequently both in Pontypridd and overseas, and has visited Poland, Ireland, The USA and Germany. Links have been forged with Liederkranz Oberensingen, a German male choir from Pontypridd's twin town, Nürtingen. The choir also performs regularly at The National Eisteddfod of Wales and takes part in The HTV male choral competition. The choir is currently broadening and improving its repertoire to provide a wide-ranging concert program. The choir is a member of The National Association of Choirs, The Welsh Association of Male Choirs and The Welsh Amateur Music Federation, and is a past winner of The HTV Male Choral Competition and at The National Eisteddfod of Wales.  less

The...  moreAnne Frank: A Living Voice was commissioned by The San Francisco Girls Chorus (SFGC) in celebration of its Silver Anniversary. The text is based upon excerpts from The Diary of Anne Frank, taken from The 1952 and 1991 English translations of The book. The full musical work was premiered in 2004 by The San Francisco Girls Chorus. Anne Frank was between The ages of 13 and 15 when she wrote her Diary, while living in a secret upstairs annex over a warehouse in Amsterdam with her family, The Van Pels family and Fritz Pfeffer. Despite The fears and frustrations she experienced in over two years of hiding from The Nazis, Anne learned how to survive, even to find beauty in small things and to hold on to her ideals. Composer Linda Tutas Haugen writes: "My goals for this composition are to honor The life of Anne Frank and to gain a deeper understanding of what she, her family, and friends experienced during The Holocaust."
