SINGERS: Valley Chamber Chorale members are talented singers committed to a high standard of performance. Just as our concerts display a dynamic diversity in programming and instrumentation, so do our singers reflect marvelous variety. Our members are educators and students, physicians and attorneys, stay-at-home moms, clergy, pilots, corporate executives and professional musicians. Some have sung with the Chorale for more than 30 years – some have sung just a year. Chorale members tend to be actively involved in the community and sing with the group as a way to share the gift of music with our St. Croix Valley audiences. Thompson. The 40-80 member A Cappella Choir offers freshman and sophomore singers the opportunity to perform works for larger choirs and to fine-tune the art of choral singing through exposure to music from the Renaissance through the 21st century. In daily rehearsals, choir members hone musicianship skills such as rhythm, sight-reading and the understanding of complex scores. They develop an understanding of the intricacies of vocal production, including pitch and how to blend individual voices together into a unified, beautiful sound.
