Known for Its’ varying repertoire, ranging from adaptations of classical music, jazz standards, folk and rock arrangements to dancehall and hip hop songs, the ensemble is lead by choir director and music teacher Mrs. Susanne Faatz. “JazzVocals” was founded twenty years ago and is one of Berlin’s veteran jazz/pop acappella ensembles.

MBS is an active mens chorus and during our shows we like to combine qualIty and pleasure while performing. Our show should not only be a joy to your ears but It should also be a joy to your eyes ! That’s why we are rehearsing very hard every thursday night.

The unique sonorIty of a female group of singers, usually a capella, has been widely explored throughout the history of music by many composers from all times, both male and female. Examples of such music can be found from the Middle Ages up to contemporary music; however It is not until Romanticism that works are composed specifically for female choirs. Thus, a particular genre is born that will keep Its own entIty up to the present times. This genre has been especially cultivated as of late by female artists and composers.
