Each Funky Voices rehearsal is taught by highly qualified and experienced music tutors. Sandra Colston BA Hons (Musical Director) arranges the music to suit the choir members, and to bring the music up to date and possible for a choir to sing. The Sound With passions for Vocal harmonies, and personal influences being likes of; Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire, Luther Vandross, Brian McKnight, Michael Jackson. The aim is to bring a similar Vocal energy to Funky Voices… From Emotional rich harmonies to Feel-good dance tracks, our repertoire includes, including “Take That”, “Michael Jackson”, “Queen”, “Supertramp”, making it an exciting and enjoyable experience for everyone. Madison Choral Project is a fully professional chamber choir of 16 - 20 voices. We perform largely a Capella works from the Renaissance to present day commissions.

Our new Musical Director, Julian Collings joined the choir beginning of 2019. Over the last few years the choir has enjoyed a growing reputation for its repertoire of outstanding contemporary music alongside the established classics. TCS latest performances included The Creation of Haydn, Mendelssohn's Elijah, Mass in Blue of Todd, Rossini's Petite Messe solennelle. The Choir also perform a Christmas Concert every year. Overall we perform three main concerts a year. During its performances TCS enjoys the participation of professional soloists and orchestras and ensembles. Phil Culling is our accompanist. With past successes and imaginative programming, TCS is thriving. We are always glad to welcome new singers, regardless of age; especiallly those who enjoy their music making. The choir has performed throughout Scotland and beyond, with music covering all periods and most styles. Critically acclaimed, and attracting capacity audiences, at the Edinburgh Fringe and elsewhere, the choir is regularly invited to perform at prominent events and has been broadcast on BBC Radio (3, 4 and Scotland) and Classic FM. Cadenza’s most recent CD - Bright Star: Cadenza at Christmas – was reviewed in Classical Music Magazine and included in Breakfast on 3’s Advent Calendar in December 2013. Jenny Sumerling became Musical Director in 2000 and under her direction Cadenza has gone from strength to strength.
