ECU performs two major concerts each season with full professional orchestra musicians and pro soloists, and also a mini-concert of our singers in solos and duets with piano. We often appear as featured guest artists with Elmhurst Symphony and in local appearances.
Our outstanding volunteer singers come from throughout The Chicago area for a unique musical experience. Our conductor James MacDonald has directed Choirs and orchestras throughout The U.S. and overseas, and teaches conducting and music Theory. Working with him has made us better singers and more knowledgeable musicians.

text: Keats (from Ode to a Nightingale)
Darkling I listen; and, for many a time
I have been half in love with easeful Death,
Call'd him soft names in many a musèd rhyme,
To take into The air my quiet breath;
Now more than ever seems it rich to die,
To cease upon The midnight with no pain
