The choir mai...  moreMarsh Ladies Choir was founded in 1955 and in 2015 will celebrate its Diamond Jubilee. The Yorkshire based choir is around 40 members strong and has developed a wide repertoire from Classical and folk to swing, jazz and songs from the shows. The choir maintains a busy schedule of concerts and competitions both in Huddersfield and further a field.  

We are a mixed voice choir singing a variety of musical styles including Classical, pop, musicals, sacred and Scottish songs. Members' ages range from teenagers to octogenarians. To date we have recorded over 30 albums and raised over £1.5 million for charity.

Many of our singers are school music teachers and voice teachers. We perform a wide variety of music from Classical and broadway to pop and vocal jazz. The choir was founded in 2011 by friends who have spent their lives teaching others to perform, but whom rarely get the chance to sing anymore. We are directed by Jason KriGas and accompanied by Kathryn Polyack.

Each singer in VanDeca comes from a different musical background, shaping who we are as a group. Its goal is to provide a quality opportunity for choral singers to learn or improve their craft. The chorus sings a wide variety of music, including Classical, spiritual, folk, Broadway and old standards. The group presents two concerts each year – at Christmas, and in the Spring. It has performed with the Temecula Vintage Singers, and for the Temecula Arts in the Country festival, as well as many local appearances for deserving organizations. The chorus rehearses and performs in the Temecula area. The chorus is one of the Resident Companies performing at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater. We sing in many languages and in many genres; Classical, church music, romantic songs, folk music, jazz; with our main focus in Classical music. We have been singing for 15 years and held concerts in several European capitals. Taking our singing seriously, we are a very social singers who likes to perform with other choirs or musicians.
