The choir, which has a membership of around 30 voices, was formed in 2007 by its Musical Director, Sheila Farmer. A Cappella is a touring choir, having visited Prague and France, and hoping to make a tour to Spain in the near future. The choir rehearses every other Saturday morning, between 10 a.m. and noon.

However it does not exempt the work of works accompanied by instrumental ensemble, piano, etc. This group's training base is four Singers, two of them music professionals, malleable according to the repertoire, joining more Singers if so required. Being a recent ensemble, it premiered in the March 2015 concert with the Lenten Concert (Solidarity Concert in favor of Maria Lara) in the Chapel of Covão do Coelho and the Church of Minde, with works by T.L de Victoria, A. Caldara, A. Scarlatti, J.S. Bach, G. All members are professional Singers and musicians, all of them graduated the Higher Musical Academy in Lviv and their diverse musical backgrounds...  moreORPHEUS vocal group founded in Lviv, Ukraine, in autumn 2000, is a male a cappella group with eight Singers. All members are professional Singers and musicians, all of them graduated the Higher Musical Academy in Lviv and their diverse musical backgrounds contribute to the musical expression of the ensemble.The group is flexible in number to expend into different styles of singing. All music are performed a cappella. The main areas of speciality are Orthodox church music (liturgical), folk and popular Ukrainian songs and some examples of original Ukrainian, world music as well as well-known a cappella classics. ORPHEUS also perform new songs - composed and arranged by the group members themselves, all of them featuring surprising and exciting arrangements.  less
