This auditioned mixed voice adult choir performs a an impressive repertoire of music ranging from symphonic classical to modern favourites under the direction of Maestro, David Holler. Uniquely, the Chorus is backed by its own "Concert Players Orchestra" and is a non-profit corporation operating in partnership with the Media Studies Program at Fanshawe College. This organization has achieved its world class status through its adherence to excellence, and the diligence of individual choristers and continues to grow in quality each season. The London Fanshawe Symphonic Chorus organization is also a two time winner of the Ontario Lieutenant-Governor's Award for the Arts for fiscal responsibility and innovative programming. less

We aim to establish a strong group of singers who rehearse and perform regularly, predominantly a cappella Choral works but sometimes with instruments and including some solo/small ensemble repertoire. We will be commissioning new works as well as exploring established repertoire and pieces by CoMA composers and associates. The group will reinforce as well as supplement the established CoMA Voices programme.
Singers are expected to be confident singers with some sight reading experience, be prepared to tackle unusual vocal techniques and unconventional pieces. Singers are expected to work and prepare themselves between rehearsals less

Anyone can join: we present top-quality events and invite everyone to 'come and join in' whether you are a lone tenor or a full SATB choir. As well as singing three times a year at the Royal Albert Hall (including the one-and-only 'Messiah from Scratch' each year), we also run cruises and trips abroad. What are you waiting for? The style of singing is more 'pop' than classical and the choice of music reflects this, with the repertoire including show-tunes, popular songs from the 1930s to today, as well as classic barbershop arrangements. There are strong links to musical theatre in that most songs are choreographed, and performing skills are a key element in making a song work.
We rehearse every Tuesday, 6:30pm-9:00pm, in central London between Kings Cross and St Paul's. We are always on the look out for enthusiastic and talented women so if you're interested in joining, do drop a line to hello@Londoncitysingers.co.uk for details. less

The success of this project led to a charity performance of Messiah co-directed by Patrick and Peter Holman at the Swinburne Hall, Colchester Institute, which was part broadcast by Classic FM. Since then the choir has presented three or four concerts each season in Colchester (usually at St. Botolph's Church), often featuring baroque music. Many of the original members still sing with the choir, which is intended for experienced choristers (members sing with other choirs and some have solo careers) who can sight read well and respond to direction, thus enabling concerts to be performed with only two or three rehearsals. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Colchester-Bach-Choir/330623297057?ref=hl less
