The New Choir is an auditioned chamber Choir performing choral works from all genres. The Choir has been conducting regularly scheduled performances in the Bay Area since its founding. The members of the New Choir have been brought together by their common love for the making of beautiful Music. The New Choir is dedicated to the study and performance of quality choral literature and sharing the joy and the spiritual enhancement inherent in the making of Music. The New Choir has been recognized for their performances of thoughtfully prepared programs. The Choir receives frequent requests for guest performances in the San Francisco Bay area and, in March 2006, was honored with an invitation to perform at the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Western Division Convention where the Choir's performance was received very warml...    less

Called a “mighty fortress of skill” by the Washington Post, the Wartburg Choir is one of three college Musical ensembles that tour internationally on a triennial basis. Beyond tours, the Choir receives invitations for special appearances in the United States and abroad, most recently to participate in the December 2011 White House Holiday Concert Series. As part of that trip to Washington, D.C., the Choir also sang at the National Cathedral’s Bethlehem Prayer Service, which was simulcast worldwide. In 2006, the Choir performed with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra in Prague at the invitation of Maestro Paul Freeman, CNSO Music director and chief conductor, who had attended Wartburg Choir concert at Orchestra Hall in Chicago. They are then inducted into our Music programmes. In these programmes, we equip them with specific skills ie public performance, public speaking, interpretation of Music, social interaction, personal development, teamwork, and excellence. Our aim is produce resilient and passionate professionals ready to enter any career.  

Formed in November 2005, the Choir has performed around England, Wales, parts of France and Germany. Members of the Choir also run a training Choir to train other Choirs to perform Gospel Music. The small training Choir is able to travel anywhere. To da...  moreFormed in November 2005, the Choir has performed around England, Wales, parts of France and Germany. Members of the Choir also run a training Choir to train other Choirs to perform Gospel Music. The small training Choir is able to travel anywhere. To date they have travelled to Cornwall, Devon, Derbyshire, Wales, France and Germany. The whole Choir is mixed, with approximately 50 singers and performs around 30 times a year.
