Although the Choir originated and is based in Preston, Lancashire, members come from all over the North West. Individual Choir members are involved in a wide range of local community projects and often call upon the whole Choir to help drive fundraising events across the region. One Voice Community Choir celebrates diversity and continually sources new material from its multi-cultural roots. The inspired leadership of Musical Director Tyndale Thomas MBE, combined with 14 years of performance experience has produced a stunning sound and versatile choral ensemble. Diliup had orchestrated the Music ...  moreThe Royal College school song written by late Principal H L Reed has been re-recorded by Kalasuri Diliup Gabadamudalige - an old Royalist, keeping in line with the original piano Music score written by H L Reed himself. Diliup had orchestrated the Music in terms of a classical orchestra and recorded it with the vocals of old Royalist Santhush Weeraman of B&S fame and the Royal College Choir. The re-recording of the school song was an initiative taken by the Secretary RCU Manju Ariyaratne on the advice of the RCU Council together with the consent of Prinicipal Upali Gunasekra.  less

Called a “mighty fortress of skill” by the Washington Post, the Wartburg Choir is one of three college Musical ensembles that tour internationally on a triennial basis. Beyond tours, the Choir receives invitations for special appearances in the United States and abroad, most recently to participate in the December 2011 White House Holiday Concert Series. As part of that trip to Washington, D.C., the Choir also sang at the National Cathedral’s Bethlehem Prayer Service, which was simulcast worldwide. In 2006, the Choir performed with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra in Prague at the invitation of Maestro Paul Freeman, CNSO Music director and chief conductor, who had attended Wartburg Choir concert at Orchestra Hall in Chicago.
